IMEG provided engineering design and services for the new Wintrust Arena at McCormick Square, the country\u2019s largest convention center. The new design-build facility is part of a redevelopment plan to transform the surrounding neighborhood into a vibrant entertainment district with new dining and entertainment venues, hotels, and streetscapes.<\/p>\n
The $150 million, 10,600-seat arena, located at the corner of Cermak and Indiana, is used as a multi-purpose building for concerts, family events, general sessions for conventions at McCormick Place, as well as the home facility for DePaul University men\u2019s and women\u2019s NCAA basketball games. The facility includes 22 suites, club seating, team and support service spaces, broadcast facilities, and food and beverage concessions. Restaurants, retail, and hospitality space are also included at the site.<\/p>\n
