Benedictine University\u2019s new Daniel L. Goodwin Hall of Business, the largest classroom building on campus, is an innovative, high-tech facility offering students hands-on, forward-thinking business training and the resources needed to be competitive in the global workplace.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The four-story building features a 600-seat auditorium, state-of-the-art trading lab, and a 6,000-square-foot \u201cGlobal Hall\u201d entrance area that includes a digital stock ticker and billboard-sized high-definition media wall that can broadcast business news from across the world. In addition to numerous interactive classrooms, labs and study spaces, Goodwin Hall also includes a Starbucks Caf\u00e9 on the second floor; 150-seat and 80-seat seminar rooms on the third floor; a banquet facility and terrace event space on the fourth floor. The technology throughout the building enables students to work collaboratively; comfortable spaces allow them to meet for group projects and check email between sessions.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As part of the project IMEG relocated the campus steam distribution piping to accommodate the Goodwin Hall of Business as well as\u00a0<\/span>Kindlon<\/span>\u00a0Hall and reconnected to the existing steam to hot water heat exchangers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Sustainable design features include a chilled beam cooling and heating system, daylighting, lighting occupancy sensors, and low-flow water fixtures.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This building was designed as a showcase for the university and specifically to attract an international business clientele for speaking engagements.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Benedictine University\u2019s new Daniel L.
