IMEG provided engineering design services for Rush Oak Brook\u00a0<\/span>Orthopaedic<\/span>\u00a0Center\u2019s new 99,000-square-foot ambulatory center.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Engineers provided MEP and technology design for the three-story ambulatory center that will focus on orthopedic services and include medical office spaces, a rehabilitation center, athletic training facility, outpatient services, on-site imaging suites with an MRI, and an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) featuring hospital-standard operating rooms and short-stay rooms.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The chosen MEP design features an on-site generator with capacity to power the entire ASC floor, including cooling, heating, and vertical transportation, and includes infrastructure redundancy. Three 2000 MBH natural gas-fired high-efficiency condensing boilers (one a redundant unit) were installed.
