IMEG has awarded 33 scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year, given to students pursuing an engineering-related degree. The number of scholarships increased from last year’s inaugural 30 awards due to donations made this year by IMEG staff and an accompanying company match.

The 33 recipients were selected from a pool of 70 applicants, all of whom were vetted by 22 members of IMEG’s Community Involvement Committees from across the U.S. Scholarships of $10,000 were awarded to underrepresented students in their sophomore through senior years who have great potential and are faced with challenging circumstances.

“We’re extremely happy to be able to help this year’s group of recipients and aspiring engineers achieve their dreams,” said IMEG President and CEO Paul VanDuyne. “We are also grateful for the generosity of our staff members who have enabled us to expand the number of scholarships awarded.”

“I am thrilled to receive this award to support my education while earning my engineering degree,” said Marc DiGregorio, a recipient who is studying mechanical engineering at Miami Dade College. “IMEG’s mission of technical expertise and collaborative partnerships align with my career goals of using engineering to apply critical thinking and innovation to improve society. It is validating to be acknowledged with this scholarship.”
