Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, has named its new student housing complex in honor of IMEG President and CEO Paul VanDuyne and his wife, Donna. The couple, who met while students at the college in the 1970s, are co-chairs of Palmer\u2019s $25-million Daring and Driven fundraising campaign, to which they have donated $2.5 million.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re making this financial commitment because we feel we can be impactful, and we feel this is something worth giving to\u2014we see Palmer getting better by the year,\u201d said Paul VanDuyne, who also is a member of Palmer\u2019s Board of Trustees. \u201cWhen you see you can make a difference, and you see the success that bears, it\u2019s exciting.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The fundraising campaign has already raised $20.2 million over the last five years. The campaign has helped fund several new facilities\u2014Trevor V. Ireland Student Clinic, Bruce & Bethel Hagen Student Union, David D. Palmer Learning Commons, the Experiential Learning Center, and VanDuyne Hall. A fourth academic building on Palmer\u2019s campus in Port Orange, Fla., was also recently completed to meet growing enrollment demands on that campus.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The college celebrated the naming of VanDuyne Hall during a Sept. 17 ribbon-cutting ceremony.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
