Medical Center<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> complex in St. Louis, funding for which is now the federal Veterans Administration\u2019s top priority.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The nearly 70-year-old medical center serves about 65,000 veterans annually and the last sizeable renovation was\u00a0in the 1980s. It is the Veteran Administration\u2019s Midwestern hub for spinal cord injuries, offers inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services, and emergency care.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The plan for renovating the campus puts veteran care and comfort at the forefront. It included building and system recommendations, including demolition, costs, schedule, phasing, and prioritization.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Under the plan\u2014which will take over a decade to complete\u2014the 11-acre campus would expand several blocks and add 700,000-sf of facilities to replace existing facilities.
